Job Summary:
- Responsible for maintaining bulk antibody inventory, providing material for internal customers, and receiving and recording returned goods.
- Accountable for performing accurate material transactions, investigating discrepancies, performing cycle counts, and providing a high level of customer service.
- Will regularly interface with other departments and internal customers. Duties also include writing and updating SOPs, evaluating current processes and providing improvement recommendations.
- Will require working extensively in cold rooms when pulling product. Update and maintain data within SAP.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Maintain bulk inventories and integrity of paper and electronic records without direct supervision.
- Conduct cycle counts of all bulk inventories under control of Operations on a schedule determined by Lead Inventory Control Coordinator and/or Sr. Inventory Control Coordinator.
- Receive and send bulk material and samples to and from Production and QC without direct supervision.
- Provide material for internal customers as directed by Production Planners or operations management without direct supervision.
- Assist the Lead Inventory Control Coordinator with implementation of all new and current department policies and procedures.
- Follows client Biosciences Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs.
- Notifies supervisors of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
- May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
- Write and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions as directed by the Lead Inventory Control Coordinator.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum 1-year experience in a manufacturing, lab or pharmaceutical/biotech inventory control setting is required.
- Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must have solid arithmetic skills (will perform dilution and concentration calculations).
- Requires prior experience with documentation and written composition.
- Possess intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills; specifically, be able to create metrics and charts.
- Requires solid command of the English language (both written and verbal).
- Previous experience with SAP or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
- An understanding of antibody production manufacturing processes is preferred, but not required.
- Must be flexible and be able to work independently within a team environment.
Education And Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
