Work Schedule Hrs: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
CANDIDATE MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK OVERTIME HOURS IF REQUESTED BY THE MANAGER DUE TO BUSINESS NEEDS.
Candidate must have reliable transportation and mechanical aptitude.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assembler I is responsible for performing a variety of entry-level assembly tasks, including building subassemblies and integrating mechanical and electrical components into finished products.
- This role uses hand tools and follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies using hand and power tools in accordance with work instructions and SOPs
- Integrate components into larger assemblies, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality
- Follow detailed assembly drawings, diagrams, and written instructions
- Perform basic in-process inspections to verify quality and identify defects
- Support testing and basic troubleshooting of assemblies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
- Accurately complete production documentation and track work performed
- Communicate issues, material shortages, or defects to Team Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support team-based problem solving
- Rotate between workstations and tasks based on production needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and assembly drawings
- Basic math skills and ability to perform simple calculations
- Effective communication skills with team members and leadership
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for tool operation and component assembly
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- May be required to bend, stoop, or reach during assembly tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
- Regular, reliable attendance is required
