Shift Work days/hours : M - F 8am - 5pm
About the role
- The Financial Analyst provides support for the Operations Finance group within the BD Integrated Diagnostics Solutions business.
- The Financial Analyst provides support to help streamline efforts and build schedules to bolster current reporting and processes.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and designing reports to track cost center spending and streamlining other reporting metrics
- Assist in Master Data cleanup efforts – costing sourcing, discontinue status reviews, item maintenance, BOM/Routes, etc.
- Aid in documenting various processes for month end closing, annual costing practices, or various other activities.
- Facilitate and document RACI charts for various processes around Budgeted, Forecasting, mid-month etc.
- Assist with detailed explanations and analyses on departmental spending and key drivers vs. budget and forecast on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ad Hoc analyses as assigned.
About you
- Candidate should be well organized and possess good communication, and analytical skills.
- Candidate must be highly proficient working with Microsoft Excel and reasonably proficient with other common applications such as MS Access, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- ERP experience is necessary; specifically, SAP experience is preferred.
- Self-driven, proactive and seeks continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, challenging environment with strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a highly visible role that will interact with individuals at all organizational levels, internal and external, and at remote locations.
Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of relevant experience required, manufacturing industry preferred.
- CPA / CMA / MBA or equivalent or working toward qualification is desirable.
