Position : Inventory Worker (Logistics / Manufacturing Production / Material Handling )

Location : San Jose, CA

Duration : 12 Months Contract

Total Hours/week :40.00
pay range -$16-20/hr 

1st shift

 

Note:

Work hours: Flexible 7-9AM – 3-5PM occasional overtime

Ability to lift 50 pounds, strong written and verbal communications skills

 

Description:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating Global OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) service activity, including the collection and reporting of quality data. Creation and/or requests for Return Material Authorizations (RMA).
  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating requests for material repair at the Global Repair Center. Works on assignments independently, where judgment to resolve problems is required.
  • Requires minimal instruction for routine tasks and assignments. May lead, support and provide guidance to other associates.
  • May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
  • Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.
  • Verifies warranty entitlement (either through internal database(s) or directly with vendor
  • Coordinate outgoing RMA / RGA (Return Material / Goods Authorization) activity between BDB affiliate/or user and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Collect, Maintain and report material failure analysis data for Quality trending
  • Monitor and report on OEM Service Levels (i.e.: Cycle Time)
  • Monitor and report on applicable financial related activity. (i.e.: Logistic costs, material savings, etc.)
  • Coordinate / oversee return of Replacement / repaired material to originator (affiliate)
  • May assist with other Service Administration roles as required. i.e.: Service Supply Chain coordination.
  • Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for regulatory compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements.
  • Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
  • Follows Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
  • Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs.
  • Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  •  Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
  • Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
  • Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
