Description:

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:

  • Under the general supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing engineers.
  • Duties include technical writing, audit and CAPA action item execution, protocol & report writing, protocol execution, creating CR packets and other technical duties as assigned.
  • This individual will also contribute to cost savings projects and product transfers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create and execute test protocols and write reports
  • PFMEA maintenance
  • Create rework instructions
  • Production line issue resolution
  • Assist in the development of Manufacturing Processes, procedures, documentation, and fixtures
  • Perform process and product validation testing
  • Assist Engineering in determining new equipment requirements and needs, and incorporate the equipment into the Dymax Calibration and PM systems 
  • Perform audit actions as assigned
  • Assist Engineering in performing product transfers
  • Contribute to cost savings initiatives
  • Gather documentation for CR packets
  • Support Engineering as required
  • Other duties as required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated technical writing ability
  • Good oral and written communication skills, Ability to communicate well with technical personnel
  • Duties require knowledge of FMEA, JHA, JSA
  • Familiarity with FDA QSR and ISO 13485 Quality System Requirements
  • Knowledge of electronics assembly and test
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Strong familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • 2 Year Associates degree in electronics preferred.
  • At least three years experience as an electromechanical technician preferred.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift a 20 lb load from the floor.

 

Work Environment:

  • Majority of time is spent working in an office
  • Ability to travel overnight to supplier sites (?5%)

 

Training Requirements:

  • Standard Operating Procedure training will be provided
