Position       : Product Repair Technician

Location : San Diego, CA

Duration : 12 Months Contract

Total Hours/week :40.00

 

Training will likely be on 1st shift (5:00/5:30AM – 1:30/2:00PM) for 6 – 8 weeks depending on trainee and certification of position (certification after trainee successfully demonstrates competence).

 

Description:

  • Performance and merit increases are available as follows and are all performance/merit based
  • Must have electronics certification or BA/AA in electronics - will need to provide copy of diploma for CFN to retain on site
  • Military certification in electronics OK
  • Product Support/Repair-Depot is responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, diagnosing, analyzing and/or repairing products.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of systems and products. Identifies basic system and product issues.
  • Identifies need for escalation. Is entry level with limited experience. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
  • Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
  • Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
  • Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
  • Works with a high degree of supervision. Responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, diagnosing, analyzing and/or repairing products.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of systems and products. Identifies basic system and product issues. Identifies need for escalation.

 

Qualification & Skills:

  • Requires a High School diploma with an ASEE or AA desired, and 0-2 years of experience providing support in a biomedical discipline.
  • Basic understanding of MAC and PC operating systems. Basic knowledge of networking.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Flow cytometry experience desired.
  • Working knowledge of data tracking systems such as SAP.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective listening skills. Ability to work as part of a team with moderate level of supervision.
