Job Description

Responsible for Change to Win projects which are scoped to improved quality, reduce cost, and grow revenue.

Partners manufacturing plants, and suppliers to implement proposed changes.

 

Responsibilities:

* Frequently applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity

* Contributes to the completion of project milestones. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions may cause delays in program schedules

* Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures

* Communicates primarily with internal company contacts and suppliers. May have inter-organizational and outside contacts on routine matters

* Manages projects of moderate scope and complexity to design, prototype, build and commercialize manufacturing process equipment. Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close these projects

* Develops high volume production processes (primarily molding but will include assembly, packaging, and others) through process feasibility, optimization and validation

* Develops specifications and acceptance protocols to verify existing requirements

* Manages vendors in the design, development and implementation of manufacturing equipment

* Applies statistical techniques to analyze verification data

* Develops test methods for performing verification, data analysis, process development and validation, preparation of reports, and providing recommendations

* Provides input into project technical strategy

* Works with manufacturing team to ensure design transfer is appropriate

* Works with diverse functions and manufacturing sites to achieve project goals

* Collaborates with teams of engineers and technicians and coordinates resources to achieve project and business goals

* Provides status reports to management in a timely basis

* Follows design control policies and guidelines

 

Mechanical Engineering is responsible for designing and developing components, mechanisms, systems and finished products or equipment. Demonstrates working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and its application in solving standard mechanical problems. Demonstrates working understanding of internal and external customer or business needs. Translates requirements into basic specifications and designs with moderate guidance. Develops and executes test protocols with moderate guidance. Independently tests, analyzes and solves working technical problems. Has developed knowledge and skills in own job family; still acquiring / expanding fundamental knowledge and higher-level skills. Applies knowledge and skills to a variety of standard activities. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
