Position : Laboratory Technician(Must Have Instron)
Location : Franklin Lakes, NJ
Duration : 6 Months Contract
Total Hours/week :40.00
1st shift
Description:
- This laboratory technician will mainly perform bench-level mechanical tests of medical devices, while following written test procedures and not requiring constant supervision.
- Typical work includes hands-on measurement of tension and compression forces on products.
- Because this is a highly regulated business, the technician must also vigilantly comply with procedures typical in a medical device company.
- The technician must be able to follow detailed technical instructions, constantly maintain attention to detail during testing, and accurately record and report test data.
Applicants MUST meet the following requirements:
- Experience with using testing equipment in a laboratory or in QC
- Able to maintain concentration and attention to detail throughout long test durations
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Able to use PC software including Excel
The following are desired:
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as automotive or medical device
- Experience in using mechanical testing machines such as the Instron
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and Minitab software
