Duration : 12 Months contract
Total Hours/week : 40.00
Shift Hours: Mon - Fri. 8AM - 5PM
Job Description:
Position Summary:
- Manages the calibration program for the facility including calibrating electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Align, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate Process Instrumentation, TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment), and Specialized Tooling to standards traceable to NIST.
- Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.
- Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
- Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
- Maintain all Calibration records per I.A.W. FDA, Corporate, and Local Standards.
- Complete updates to company documentation as necessary.
- Ensure compliance of calibration system to Quality System Regulations.
- Provide necessary reports, as needed, on calibration status, etc.
- Schedule calibrations with outside vendors, as required.
- Maintain inventory of all testing/measuring equipment and instruments used in the facility.

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience:
- High school diploma or GED with minimum of 3 years of related experience in calibration metrology and ISO or Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics and PLC training with 2 years of related experience/training or Certification Courses (ASQ, etc.)
- Formal Metrology Training with evidence of experience in the set-up, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of process control instruments, electrical and pneumatic controllers
- Must possess a thorough understanding of calibration principles and their relationship to Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Must have in-depth, detailed knowledge of the metrology, mathematics, and applicable technical disciplines required to comply with perform the described duties.
