Position : Packaging Operator
Location : Woburn, MA
Duration : 6 Months Contract
Start Time : 6:00 AM
End Time : 2:30 PM
Total Hours/week : 40.00
Description:
Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
- Perform duties associated with the manufacturing process (clean room and finished goods manufacturing).
 
Essential Job Functions:
- Listed below are the essential job functions for the primary responsibilities that a Packaging Operator I working on the Avitene product line will perform, however, at any time manufacturing demands may require the Operator to work on a different product line which would require him/her to perform any or all of the listed additional job functions.
 
- Operate sealers, drying ovens, and test equipment used in the Avitene cleanroom.
 - Operate label maker machine(s), load sterilizer racks.
 - Assemble, inspect, and package devices per relevant operating procedures
 - Know and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory/procedural requirements at all times
 - Complete all relevant Device History Records (DHR) as required, complying with Quality System requirements
 - Vacuum, clean and sanitize rooms and equipment as required
 - Train others on work instructions when required
 - Perform duties in controlled environments as required
 - Maintain a good attendance and on-time record as outlined in the Attendance Guidelines for our facility
 - The ability to work overtime
 
Additional Manufacturing Job Functions:
- Operate the Pack-West and Kalix equipment as required.
 - Assist in the implementation of lean thinking programs throughout manufacturing
 - The ability to work overtime
 
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Perform other related duties as required
 
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be able to comprehend work instructions written in English
 - Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
 - Computer literacy is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
 
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required
 - 1 or more years of experience working in a medical device/electronics assembly/packaging environment
 
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
 - Must be able to sit, stand, move, twist and bend to operate, move and clean equipment and clean room(s)
 
Work Environment:
- Clean Room or Manufacturing floor
