Job Summary

Assembler I role in Durham, NC, performing entry-level assembly tasks- building subassemblies and integrating mechanical and electrical components into finished products.  Day shift (6:00 AM- 2:30 PM, Mon- Fri) with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies using hand and power tools per work instructions and SOPs

  • Integrate components into larger assemblies, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality

  • Follow detailed assembly drawings, diagrams, and written instructions

  • Perform basic in-process inspections to verify quality and identify defects

  • Support testing and basic troubleshooting of assemblies as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S standards

  • Accurately complete production documentation and track work performed

  • Communicate issues, material shortages, or defects to Team Lead/Supervisor promptly

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and team-based problem solving

  • Rotate between workstations and tasks based on production needs

Experience

  • 0- 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred

Key Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools

  • Reading and interpreting assembly drawings and written instructions

  • Basic math and simple calculations

  • In-process quality inspection

  • Production documentation

  • Effective communication with team members and leadership

  • Strong attention to detail

Eligibility and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Reliable transportation required

  • Mechanical aptitude required

  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; bend, stoop, or reach as needed

  • Flexible to work overtime when required

  • Regular, reliable attendance required

  • No drug screening required
