Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

•A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline •Basic statistical knowledge.

•A minimum of 5 years’ experience performing tests to collect experimental data and performing statistical analysis and interpretation of results.

•A minimum of 5 years’ mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience.

•Willingness to prepare blood samples for testing (training will be provided).

•Excellent communication skills.

•Knowledge of reliability fundamentals and basic understanding of reliability analysis (ie-life predictions, product life modeling, root cause analysis, environmental testing, accelerated testing, etc.)

•Experience with test automation (labview, Arduino) and data collection tools (accelerometers, pressure transducers, etc).

•Demonstrated ability to utilize test and measurement equipment.

•Technical writing for the preparation of protocols, plans and reports. •Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy. In addition to the above minimum qualifications, the following are considered highly desirable:

•Experience with medical devices and working in a regulated industry. •Experience automating analysis for large sets of data using tools such as Minitab or Matlab.

•Experience implementing Design for Six Sigma tools, Design of Experiments, Gage R&R, etc.

 

Responsibilities:

Job Description Play a key role in the development and sustaining of medical devices as a Reliability Engineer in the Reliability Engineering group. Provide hands-on, analytical, and reliability expertise to support engineering programs associated with the development of complex life science instruments. Work in a team environment to assess and improve product reliability and implement improvements post-launch. Manage reliability projects by implementing tests, analyzing data, assessing reliability risks, and reporting accurate information to stakeholders. Primary duties include the following:

•Plan and manage reliability projects for sustaining engineering.

•Prepare, setup, and execute component, sub-system and system-level tests. •Create and implement test plans to effectively mitigate risks in new product designs.

•Author and execute test plans and protocols.

•Record, organize, and manage large amounts of detailed test data.

•Methodically analyze test data and interpret results for critical reliability decision-making.

•Perform engineering and statistical analysis to drive continuous improvement.

•Troubleshoot instrument failures and/or reliability issues as necessary. •Work with engineering team to develop mitigations for reliability issues discovered.

 

Education:

Required High School Diploma/GED

Required a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.

The manager's Bill Rate Range is $50.50 - $64.61 - Pay rate $45.50 - $50. 50, depending on experience. Please submit candidates only within that range. Candidates submitted outside of this range will be rejected. Thank you
