Summary:
The Product Manager role is accountable for the achievement of key marketing functional goals across the Veritor portfolio. Influences the development and drives the execution of product line plans; contributes to US product planning and strategy; manages a portion of the marketing expense budget to drive top line sales performance; influences within work area/ department/ function; serves as main liaison with US sales team; provides significant input into product line-related business decisions and resource planning; plays critical role in key initiatives, often leading project teams, including leading product launches and training. Demonstrates marketing expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge, e.g., branding, marketing communications, forecasting.

Responsibilities:
• Develops marketing plans for assigned products to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies, including market sensing, market development and marketing mix. Builds and executes the tactical plan, to ensure product positioning and messaging are communicated effectively.
• Serves as main point of communication with US field-based associates (e.g., Sales, Distribution, National Accounts). Communicates Business Group & Business Line value offers to sales team and develops sales tools that support selling process. Provides updates, manages back orders, answers queries and leads training, as necessary.
• Manages and implements advertising strategy, including content development and publication coordination.
• Effectively leverages digital marketing to extend customer reach and engagement across the buying process.
• Supports the launch of new products, including management of the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
• Aids in the forecasting and budgeting process: sales analysis, funnel reviews and implementation updates. Manages the demand planning process.
• Leads pricing function for assigned product lines, including analysis and loading.
• Supports key functional responsibilities for the clinical microbiology platform: RFP responses, calculator updates, cross-reference analyses, contract approvals, product life cycle management (e.g., new product additions, discontinuation notifications and management), tradeshow planning, webinar planning and coordination.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including Global Marketing counterparts.
• Ensures compliance with BD policies, procedures, and practices, including serving as point-person in marketing communication copy approval process.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge and Experience:
• B.S. in a Life Sciences discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA highly desired.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, preferably in a biotechnology or life sciences industry. Commercial experience may include marketing, sales, business development or other related function.
• Minimum of 3 years in product and/or market management, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated track record in identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy and Go-to-Market models and strategies, inclusive of distributor-based commercial models
• General knowledge of the Life Sciences market as well as the sales, operations, and marketing functions is required. Scientific and technical knowledge with the ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial to drive revenue growth.
• Marketing or sales experience in non-Acute healthcare such as urgent care, retail clinics, physician's offices and long-term care is highly desirable.
• Experience of driving sales through distribution commercial programs is highly desirable.
• Effective interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication; demonstrated abilities in organization, prioritization and planning, goal setting, analytical and problem solving.
• Results-oriented, with demonstrated ability to multi-task; capable of managing and driving the completion of multiple competing projects.
