Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 months in Supply Chain areas: planning, purchasing, logistics or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and good problem solution skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with an ERP / SAP systems.
  • Proficient Excel skills

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

 

Overview:

  • As the HDS (Optima, Phaseal and HD Check) USA, you will have responsibility over the Demand & Supply planning processes for the BU, by working with, steering & coaching the team.
  • The HDS (Optima, Phaseal and HD Check) USA will play an active role in translating the key element of the business strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet the service and objectives across all regions. As the owner of the regional demand planning process for the businesses, this role will be responsible for leading and coordinating the monthly demand consensus by region (monthly through to long range demand planning) for the businesses by actively engaging the marketing and finance community as key participants in the process.
  • The position will initiate and drive improvements in the process through increased market knowledge and systems usage. Focus on improvements in demand modeling, which drives greater accuracy and is directly linked to increased customer service and inventory strategies. Maintain a strong link to business activity and global issues as they may affect respective products. Responsible for coordinating the demand for the annual long-term planning process.
  • The Supply & Inventory Planner USA determines the quantities by product required to maintain target inventory levels and order product from source to replenish based upon appropriate lead time. She/he coordinates finished goods sourcing activities across Plants and External Supplier Network optimizing available capacity and assets. The Supply & Inventory Planner USA drives S&OP Supply consensus and macro level capacity management. She/he also recommends and set inventory levels to support the region's service levels in alignment with the Global Business and Supply Chain objectives.
  • On the supply planning side, the position will work with Global Supply Planner to achieve optimal service levels, reaching target inventory levels and with the appropriate management of supply lead times to order product from source to replenish. The position will drive the S&OP Supply consensus process and macro level capacity management; and set inventory levels to support the regions’ service levels in alignment with the global business and Supply Chain objectives.
  • This position will be working with country analysts or sales and finance colleagues, to provide guidance and coordination in key areas of the demand planning processes to ensure consistency and high performance regionally. The incumbent will lead the aggregation of regional demand for the businesses and timely provide the information to all the relevant processes (Global Demand & Supply Review, Regional S&OP).

 

Main Responsibilities, Duties & Accountabilities

Demand planning

  1. Review and perform analysis on FCA & Bias,
  2. Review statistical forecast and adjust if required,
  3. Update any forecast on Sales and Marketing line in DP Consensus Book if required,
  4. Prepare files for monthly demand consensus meeting,
  5. Hold monthly demand consensus meeting with Marketing, Finance, and Supply,
  6. After demand consensus meeting, update any forecast changes required before monthly DP release to SNP,
  7. Track MTD demand against forecast throughout the month,
  8. NPIs
  1. Collaborate with Marketing for NPI forecasting and assumptions.
  2. Perform forecast analysis and modeling (ie. breakdown, cannibalization, etc)
  3. Create CVCs
  4. Input NPI forecasts into SAP,
  1. Support with requests and/or ad hoc analysis if required,
  2. Attend meetings if required.

 

Supply & Inventory planning

  1. Responsible for regional service level achievement for assigned product groups in alignment with global recommendations
  2. Responsible for monitoring regional alert monitors.
  3. Responsible for releasing replenishment orders enough to maintain safety stock levels at USA.
  4. Responsible for tracking and ensuring goods receipt in DCs,
  5. Responsible for executing & facilitating allocation decisions within the region in short supply situations,
  6. Responsible for defining the appropriate planning strategy (MTO/MTS/ATO) for assigned product portfolio aligned with manufacturing practices,
  7. Work with global planning to document and maintain lead times within the integrated supply chain that will affect required inventory levels within the region, and communicates with global planning to determine corrective action if required,
  8. Engage with the global planning organization on management of long term product supply shortages e.g., temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation / distribution of the materials with shortages, creation of manual STO's for the regions to allow fair share deployment between domestic and intercompany shipments, etc.
  9. Work with global and regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network, and maintain a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions.
  10. Provide projections to regional warehouse management and transportation functions on Inbound and Storage Volumes

 

S&OP process facilitation

  • Facilitate the Regional Demand/Supply Review and represent that information in the S&OP meetings: ensure timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine regional production plan and eliminate any inefficiencies potentially impacting the key metrics,
  • Represent the region in the Global Demand/Supply Review, ensuring timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum and jointly contribute to decisions to ultimately determine global production,
  • Interface with Global Supply Planners for plants globally and S&OP Process owners,
  • Support Global Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best in class forecast accuracy and provide support in meeting goals across all other SC KPI's to ultimately help manage production/distribution costs.
  • Business performance management
  • Responsible for regional key metrics, i.e., backorder, inventory turns, DIO, line fill,
  • Liaison to regional business cross-functional leadership team to understand business strategy and future business needs,
  • Translate business/supply chain needs into supply needs,
  • Work closely with plant to understand capacity resources, LTP and lead product changes and launches,
  • Maintain a strong link with the business activities and global issues as they may affect respective products sold in the region regardless of where the products are manufactured.
